Düm-tek pattern
In notation
Single-line notation: right-hand strokes (düm, te) above the line, left-hand strokes (tek, ke) below; durations shown as note values.
16/8: one cycle is 16 units; the width of each box is the length of the stroke.
Large usul 16 beats
A large sixteen-beat usul that is half of the Berefşan usul; it consists of a semai, a Türk aksağı and two sofyans. It was used in peşrev, beste and ilahi; of its examples only Şerif's bayati peşrev has survived to the present day.
