Hristo Ağa

His real name was Hristaki Kiryazis; he was of Greek origin, and his date of birth is unknown. He was the brother of Lavtacı Civan and Andon; a masterly lavta player, he played in kaba saz ensembles. His şarkıs live on in the fasıl repertoire; he adapted Ahmed Midhat Efendi's Zeybekler as an operetta. After final years spent in poverty, he died in Istanbul in 1914.
