Life
Born in 1869 in Üsküdar, he died in 1945 in Suadiye. He took meşk from masters such as Hacı Ârif Bey, Hacı Fâik Bey and Tanbûrî Cemil Bey. He continued composing while working as a civil servant; he wrote his first composition at eighteen and produced more than three hundred works. He was a successful şarkı composer; Bimen Şen and Sadi Hoşses were among his students.[1]
